My name is Theo Christelis, I am a London based photographer, providing specialist photographic services for the art world.
Alongside my freelance work which is documented on this site, I am also an in-house photographer for White Cube. Prior to this, I assisted Stephen White in the photography of internationally acclaimed artists such as Sir Antony Gormley, Gary Hume RA and Idris Khan OBE, as well as key galleries such as the Royal Academy, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Sprüth and Magers, Victoria Miro, Marian Goodman Gallery, Stephen Friedman Gallery and PACE gallery.

Terms and Conditions:
Licensing: Once paid, Theo Christelis grant’s unlimited use of the commissioned images to a) the paying client and b) the artist/studio who’s work is pictured. Any other party seeking to use the images must seek the permission of Theo Christelis, and not just the before mentioned a) client or b) artist. The ownership and copyright of the images remains with Theo Christelis, the photographer.
Theo Christelis must be credited where appropriate. When images are used in print (of any kind) or for online press Theo Christelis must be credited.
Theo Christelis reserves the right to use the images himself, for self promotion on his website and/or social media pages for example. Any sensitive images that should not be used by Theo Christelis should be discussed before the shoot.
Booking: All photoshoots must be booked in advance, with the date, time and location of the shoot confirmed in writing over email. I advise that shoots are booked well in advance, and offer a 10% discount on my rate (excluding expenses) to all bookings that are made over a month in advance, without changes being made to the time, date or location of the photoshoot.
Cancellation: Any cancellation made within 24hrs of a photoshoot will be charged at half the agreed price of the job, this will be halved again if the shoot is to be rescheduled.
Expenses: Any expenses incurred on the job will be added to the bill. This includes travel expenses such as parking, congestion charge, or taxi/courier services where applicable. Additional equipment hire costs will also be added to the bill when necessary, and this will always be discussed beforehand. Backdrops: White paper backdrop will be charged at £10/meter and must be requested. I will not provide specific coloured paper backdrops by the meter, these must be ordered in advance and bought outright.
Deliverables: Post production will need to be carried out on all images after each shoot. The final images will be sent out as soon as they are finished, and will usually be ready within 5 working days of the shoot. Any specific deadlines on the images must be confirmed while the shoot is being booked in. Files will be delivered as full resolution 8-bit TIFFs and 2500px JPEGs unless stated otherwise. The RAW files will not be delivered as they do not carry any of the colour work integral to archive photography. Once downloaded, the safe keeping of the files remains the responsibility of the client, and I will not necessarily be able to reproduce them. However, I do keep an archive of my images so please feel free to ask should you need to.
